Looking outside this morning, while prepping for a day of image retouching, I was surprised by a winter wonderland scene. I actually had to shovel a path to my studio! I thought to myself, when is summer going to be here? It’s MARCH! So to get into the summer state of mind, I thought I would post my favorite wedding venues in Kelowna, Vernon, the Okanagan Valley and beyond. There’s no better way to bring on the sunshine, than wedding season, which is just around the corner. So I hope you enjoy Keylight Photography’s top wedding venues of 2012.

Lake Okanagan Resort is located on Westside Road, right on gorgeous Lake Okanagan. I love the resort! It has such a great variety of locations for both your ceremony and reception, as well as your wedding portraits. It’s the perfect beach wedding location. The resort boasts so many portrait locations, from the beach and docks, to the golf course with sweeping views of the lake to the great achitectural elements of the building itself. The Harvest Golf Course & Country Club hosts both ceremonies and receptions: Indoor and outdoor venues for ceremony and reception.
Capacity: Up to 160 Guests
The Harvest is one of my favorite locations for wedding photography, it had the most breath taking view of Lake Okanagan, the serene pond/waterfall area, orchard and picturesque bridge are wonderful photographic backdrops. I have had the pleasure of both photographing weddings at the Harvest as well as hosting my own wedding.
And the icing on top of the cake; the dedication and service is top notch.
